If you’re planning your wedding right now one of the best tools would be the Brides Up North wedding blog founded by the lovely Julia Braime (she has superwoman capabilities!) it features some amazing weddings as well as having loads of information on all the suppliers ‘up north!’.

And what a bunch we are as we found out recently! Julia hosts these events a couple of times a year called ‘Tweet ups’ and what you do here is go join her at some luscious venue, have a few cocktails and a good old chin wag with all those people you speak to on Twitter but have no idea who they actually are, it’s a great way to get your way round everyone and to actually have a little r and r. We got to take our photo booth and snap some of the lovely guests at The Mansion in Leeds and also As you like it Jesmond…..

As well as the Tweet ups she also ran this feature on us to get to know a little bit more about what makes us tick…

A Groovy Revolution!

We have met these guys twice now and each time they have entertained us with their fantastic mash ups of songs that you would never think went together until you heard them! They were playing at the delightful Stuart and Julie’s wedding at Woodhall Hotel near Leeds when we got to meet them again and this time they surprised us by jumping in our photo booth. Here are the fantastic results; five good lucking chaps looking…well ridiculous, but at least they are game for a laugh.

Crime Writing Festival- Harrogate- Transworld Publishers

We received a rather interesting enquiry earlier in the year to have one of our photo booths at the Crime writing Festival in Harrogate, this fantastic 3 day event happens every July in Harrogate this year at The Old Swan Hotel.

Crime reader fanatics gather from all over the country, some from other countries to meet their favourite authors and share their interests. Transworld Publishers invited us over for the day and we snapped some fantastic people using our green screen to create the photos as well as some interesting props!

The brilliant girls from Transworld used the #mugshots and bang we were all over Twitter within minutes, what a brilliant way of advertising. Here are a couple of the shots…

Amelia Lily! WOW!

One of the best voices featured in the X-Factor 2011 was that of 18 year old finalist Amelia Lily from Middlesbrough, very close to our base in Northallerton.

Earlier in the year our photo booth was at a party where this beautiful young lady happened to be performing and guess what she popped in our photo booth and had a few snaps!

Raise the Roof #allaboutcharity

Raise the Roof hosted a charity evening in our home town Northallerton, in May this year and we took along our photo booth to help raise some much needed cash for the wonderful Martin House Hospice based in Boston Spa. Raise the Roof is a charity set up by Hannah Chapman from Thirsk to raise money for a random charity of choice.

The group raised nearly £2000 and our photo booth went down a storm at helping with this. The band night featured loads of local talent in the form of the up and coming Conspirators from Bedale, Half Full and My Lost Youth. All amazing bands. This is also where we discovered how effective customised backdrops were!
